TabTrade — What It Is
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
His background matters. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. cBot support. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The execution is where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? If you scalp, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone at this price point offer execution like this.
Safety
Here is the detail that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. But factor into your assessment.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You put money in, they top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
